This a perfect addition to our optional underside (padding and backing cleaning service). The perfect service when heavy urine or other body fluids are in the carpet face fibers and you do not feel you have contamination in the carpet cushion.
How can we locate the urine contamination without lifting the carpet?
First all these spots are located so we use body fluid detection equipment UV light and then confirm it is urine with Urometer. These urine detection equipment is also available for rent from Steam Brite but is included in this service. We have some links and a video below to better let you understand this service and for you to determine if you want to try this on your own.
Procedure:
First locate the problem areas.
Locate urine with the UV Light and confirm it is urine with the Urometer.
You can optionally mark the carpet with white chalk.
We take Knock Out Urine PreTreatment and prespay and presoak all the urine contaminated areas. This is not a light spray. All the other non-contaminated areas are presprayed with a heavy duty cleaner and degreaser. The carpet is power scrubbed and shampooed to completely clean the carpet. After all the carpet has been scrubbed clean it is steam rinsed with a hot water extraction machine. All the edges are creviced. We then post apply a OdorCide pet odor topical treatment. This is not to be a light spray. This product is allowed to sit for another 20 minutes. Any post soaked areas are extracted with vacuum only to remove any excess water. The AC/Heater is set to 68 degree F with the blower to the ON position. If you have any ceiling fans they are turned on to.

Site Requirements: Electricity, hot water, working Air Conditioning. You will have to run the AC or heater on 68 degrees F with the blower motor on "On" for one days to ensure all the humidity and moisture are removed from the home. Ceiling fans also recommended but not required.

Question: Does the home have to be empty for this service?
Answer: No, we will include moving furniture that weights under 100 lbs. We will not take the furniture out of the room rather just move it up clean behind it and then place it back. Smaller chairs and end tables should be taken out of the service area and left off the carpet until dry.
Question: Should we prevacuum
Questions: Is it possible that the service could end up costing more than $0.50 a sq ft?
Answer: Yes. It is always possible that you should consider adding the Sub Service pet treatment or Carpet Sanitization service too for an extra $0.25 per sq ft. Some customer have dye stains that they want work on like Kool-Aid or similar difficult marks.
What type of guarantee or warranty does the service include?
Answer: First we have the customer perform a final walk through with the technician and confirm that the carpet is as clean and reasonably odor free. We want to make sure that we will not have to come back. You are paying for the procedure and not the results. This is an odd statement to hear and say. When you go to the doctor and have surgery, you have to pay for the procedure and not the results. If the surgery is unsuccessful and you need additional work, you will have to pay for these additional services. This service is not treating the walls, cabinets, and air ducts, and was a treatment from the top of the carpet and not a service with the carpet removed. Will we come back? Yes we will. Each customer receives a 7 day written warranty on this service but it is always possible you might be required to pay for a service call, more labor, more materials, more procedures. The idea of this service is aggressive restoration without carpet removal or re-installation work. It does work extremely well.
Question: Will 100% of all the stains be removed?
Answer: No, usually 99% of them are but it is possible that some damage can only be repaired through replacement or carpet sectioning a new piece in that area.
Question: Do you flood the entire home?
Answer: No, only the urine soaked areas and areas of contamination, but all the carpet is cleaned
Question: What if I do not have electricity or water at the job site? Can I still get this done?
Answer: No. How are you going to get the carpet to dry in less than 24 hours without removing the humidity? It is not OK to open the windows and think this is going to dry the carpet. The only time it would be OK to open the window is of the relative humidity out side is under 25% and the temperature is between 65 and 75 degrees. Here in San Antonio, Texas that is a small window of opportunity.
Question: Can this service be done upstairs where we have a wood sub floor.
Answer: Yes, the application is done with a watering can (like you water plants with). The service is still deeper than regular carpet cleaning but not aggressive as pouring. When carpet replacement is not in the budget this is a great alternative and works super well. Please let the operator know you might need us to bring a watering can on the truck if you have a two story home.

Question: Does Odorcide 210 actually work?

Question: Is it an enzyme?
Answer: No. Odorcide is not an enzyme. Odorcide uses a chemistry called Zwaademaker Conjugates. This process bonds, absorbs and then counteracts the odor molecules ability to emit a vapor. The result is complete elimination of the odor.
Question: Does it work on cat urine?
Answer: Yes. Odorcide will eliminate the odors caused by pet urine. Simply identify the source and make sure Odorcide is used in a manner that will ensure contact with the odor molecule.
Question: Can you use it on oriental or wool rugs?
Answer: Yes. Odorcide is safe for use on rugs and carpets of all kinds. Rugs need to be treated front and back. A dip tank is best if available.

Answer: Once Odorcide is applied its best to leave it until you are certain it has penetrated deeply enough to come in contact with the odor source. As many of the problems areas are on wood or concrete flooring, this process may take a few minutes. Odorcide needs to penetrate both of these hard surfaces to adequately reach the odor molecule. Once you are certain the penetration process is complete, you can extract the excess or you can simply let it air dry. If you are cleaning in addition to deodorizing, you can remove the excess during your cleaning procedures.
