Clean Storm 3600-120 Hot Box Volcano 3500 Watt Portable Heater Double Heat for Carpet Cleaning Equipment
Description
Volcano 3600 High Pressure Heater on two power cords! Smoke those floors! Can operate on one power cord too, but one will have half the amount of rise. Double Heat 3500 watt portable heater can be hooked up to any cold water extractor for instant heat. Switches allow you to select either 1750 watt or 3500 watts of heat. 210 degree maximum heat. This unit has 2 heating chambers installed in it. Each chamber holds about 32 oz of water. Each power cord (2x - 25ft 12-3 cords) operates a chamber with two 875 watt elements in it. Four 875 watt rods = 3500 watts total. Applications: Boost water temperature on portable and truck mounted carpet cleaning equipment when cleaning less than 500 psi. Heats water up to 210 degree depending on water consumption. This heater has 2 separate heater chambers installed in the one housing. This is the perfect addition to your auto detail machine or carpet cleaning machine. If you want to use a power wand, the flow rate of the water consumption is very high and a larger heater like this will perform nicely.
NOTE: Each of the two power cords pulls a full 13.8 amps of power at 120 volts. This requires each cord to be plugged into a different breaker from each other and from any other equipment you are using. You might also consider using a 220 volt converter. A built in circuit locator confirms that the power cords plugged into separate breakers before you turn the heater on.

Question: On the 3500 watt 120 volt heater, is is possible to get more than a 30 degree rise?
Answer: Yes, most electric heaters provide an average of a 15 degree rise for each 1000 watts of energy you place in the water while used in carpet cleaning. This means you should be able to get up to a 54 degree rise. Again, naturally I would not attempt to heat cold water with this because adding 65 degrees cold to 54 only means cleaning at 119. But if I start off at the normal 110 degree F hot water I could expect to clean with 164 degree water. The size and number of spray jets, water pressure, and how often you squeeze the trigger on the cleaning tool are all going to play a role on the exact amount of heat you will achieve.
Question: What happens if I set the wand down for a while and quite cleaning for a few minutes?
Answer: This heater has 8 thermostats installed in it. Once it realizes you are not cleaning the thermostats will automatically turn the heater off. Once you pick up the wand and start cleaning again the heater will turn back on and keep the water hot.
Question: Does the water always come out 210 degrees?
Answer: No, the temperature is bases on the flow rate through the heater and the starting temperature. It is always recommended to use hot tap water with your machine to start and then let the electric heater boost the water temperature.
