The HVE 3000 and Rover Extractor -
The Winning Restoration Combination
Includes one each of the items below:
We get a lot of great feedback about the Rover HVE (F354). Business owners praise its effectiveness on jobs as do many technicians when they get their first exposure to it in our RSA flood houses. And many customers also love the HVE 3000 Portable Extractor (F479) for its terrific vacuum performance. But what many customers don't realize is how powerful these two units are when used together for flood extraction. Each unit builds on the strengths of the other, providing stronger extraction and more money on restoration jobs.
Why does this combination work better than other extractors on their own?

The HVE 3000 Filter Basket
|
|
The HVE 3000 is equipped with an industrial-grade pump that can handle 1/2-inch solids - this separates our flood extractor from most other portables with auto-pumpouts. Because the pump can pass much larger solids, that means fewer hassles during flood extraction. In addition, the clear filter cover makes it easy to see when the filter needs cleaning. Simply pop open the two spring clamps, remove the cover and lift out the stainless steel basket to clean.

When it comes to mitigation jobs that involve wood floors, the HVE 3000 can (and should) be used in the beginning of a flood job with the Dri-Eaz Rescue Mat System (F286) so that it can extract liquid water out of the wood floor.
Additionally, you can improve the effectiveness of your truckmount extractor by using the HVE 3000 as a booster. This is especially useful on multi-story jobs or on any job with longer hose runs. Place the HVE 3000 within 100-200 feet of the end of the run to increase and boost total extraction power. And a major benefit of the HVE 3000 is its water interception that means cleaners and restorers don't have to keep interrupting you work to empty truckmount tanks, saving considerable time and operations cost.
As John Otero, Legend Brands Director of Restoration Products noted: "When I was in restoration, I would have loved to have the HVE 3000 and the Rover extraction package. With the technology that both offer, the work of extracting water on flood jobs is so much easier. In addition, the ROI you make from using the Rover is a no-brainer. In most cases, Xactimate pays on average 90-92 cents a square foot. On a 1,000 square foot extraction job, the restorer can charge $920 for using the Rover just for the water extraction. This means the ROI on the Rover can be as little as 4-5 jobs. The same is true with the HVE 3000. This is a great point to make when talking to customers about buying and using the HVE and the Rover together. Their combined ROI value makes economic sense in addition to the competitive advantage they bring to restoration jobs."

"Since we purchased the new Rover it's been out on jobs every day. Our crews request the Rover over other options. My techs say it's just plain easier and faster to use. The Rover's lighter weight means it's easy to load and unload and the joystick makes it easy to operate. The power cord and vacuum hose stay behind the operator, so they don't get in the way. The view tube allows the operator - and client - to see how much water is being extracted and the Rover delivers great extraction performance. We plan to purchase another unit soon - thanks Dri-Eaz for your ingenuity!"

"The HVE is really portable. It's easy to maneuver. The extraction capacity is the best that we've seen. The HVE has similar capability to some of the extractors that cost us twice as much money a while back. As a booster for our truckmounts it really extends the range for carpet cleaning on commercial jobs which we doing a lot of right now. The HVE works really well for us. It's allows for easy maintenance and operation.
"We use the HVE with the Rover and find that by adding the Rover, the combination provides increased extraction capacity. That system combination is very successful. Having an extractor that pulls more water out of carpet and pad compresses the drying time and allows for us to focus more on structure drying vs. saturated carpet. Decreased drying time reduces the impact of the restoration work on the customer and also lowers their bill which they really appreciate, bringing us more repeat business. The HVE and Rover make for a strong working system."
